Our client is seeking an experienced and hands-on Estate Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a developing residential estate in Kommetjie.
** This is initially a part-time position, with the preferred arrangement being Monday to Friday mornings/half-days. There is flexibility around the working pattern, and an arrangement such as two full days and one half-day may also be considered.
Please note: Development timelines can be unpredictable and the timing of Phase 2 will depend on sales, construction and transfers. The successful candidate must therefore be comfortable with a phased development environment and the flexibility that this requires.
ESSENTIAL: Diploma or degree in Property, Facilities or Business Management
ESSENTIAL: Previous experience in property or estate management
ESSENTIAL: Sound knowledge of Sectional Title and/or HOA management
ESSENTIAL: Strong financial, legal and maintenance planning abilities
ESSENTIAL: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ESSENTIAL: Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
ESSENTIAL: Proficient in MS Office and property management systems
ADVANTAGEOUS: Paddocks certification or relevant Sectional Title qualification
ADVANTAGEOUS: Experience using WeConnectU or similar property management systems
ADVANTAGEOUS: Experience managing a residential estate or development
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estate
- Manage maintenance, landscaping and external service providers
- Manage estate security, implement safety protocols and handle incidents
- Lead and coordinate on-site staff and contractors
- Develop and implement appropriate SOPs and operational procedures
- Manage resident communication, queries and complaints
- Coordinate and assist with community events
- Ensure compliance with Sectional Title and HOA requirements
- Attend Board meetings and provide operational input
- Oversee health and safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Assist with financial, maintenance and operational planning
- Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, contractors and service providers
