Our client a well-established importer and distributor, delivering leading global products to over 10 000 stores is seeking an experienced HR Practitioner to join their team in Cape Town.

This role reports directly into the CFO.

Essential: 3+ years’ experience working as an HR Business Partner

Essential: Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Relations

Essential: Industrial Relations (IR) expertise, including strong knowledge of South African labour laws, dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures, and CCMA processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage all HR administration, including employee records, contracts, payroll coordination, and leave management.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
  • Handle Industrial Relations matters in collaboration with the external consultant, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, and CCMA cases.
  • Assist in performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Provide HR guidance and support to management and employees.
  • General HR admin duties / ad hoc duties

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling Industrial Relations and working with external consultants.
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • HR qualification (Diploma/Degree) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential matters professionally.
