Our client, a South Africa-based company operating across FMCG, food & beverage, HoReCa and lifestyle sectors, is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to take full ownership of their social media presence, content strategy and digital community management across the business and all subsidiary brands.
This role is critical to growing brand visibility, audience engagement and revenue-driving digital campaigns. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment and loves turning creative ideas into measurable business outcomes.
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
ESSENTIAL: 2–4 years’ experience in social media management and digital marketing (with proven results)
ESSENTIAL: Proven experience managing multiple social media accounts and brands simultaneously
ESSENTIAL: Strong hands-on knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Meta Business Suite
ESSENTIAL: Experience in content calendar planning, campaign execution and community management
ESSENTIAL: Demonstrated ability to grow brand engagement, audience and online community
ESSENTIAL: Excellent copywriting, communication and creative skills
ESSENTIAL: Strong analytical and data-driven approach to performance and reporting
ADVANTAGEOUS: Experience in FMCG, retail, food & beverage, HoReCa, liquor, lifestyle or eCommerce industries
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing social media strategies across the company and all subsidiary brands
- Managing all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, WhatsApp Channels/Broadcasts and YouTube (where applicable)
- Planning and overseeing monthly content calendars across all brands, ensuring alignment with brand tone, positioning and commercial objectives
- Coordinating and managing promotional campaigns, product launches, seasonal campaigns, competitions and influencer collaborations
- Managing and executing paid social media campaigns in coordination with marketing management or external agencies
- Overseeing all community management i.e. responding to comments, messages and customer interactions professionally and timeously
- Monitoring and analysing social media performance metrics and compiling monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations
- Working closely with the Graphic Designer and Marketing team to brief and execute content requirements
- Identifying and managing influencer and creator partnerships where applicable
- Ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms
- Monitoring trends, platform updates and emerging opportunities to improve performance and engagement
- Supporting sales, eCommerce and marketing teams with aligned digital activity
